Our Story

Real estate in Waihi, Waihi Beach, and Katikati has a proud and long-standing history, built over many decades by respected local businesses and people deeply connected to their communities.

Around 70 years ago, John Fowler established Fowler Real Estate on Beach Road at Waihi Beach, helping lay the foundations of the local property market. At a similar time, Pam and John Philcox opened Philcox & Steevens on Seaforth Road, creating another well-known and trusted real estate name in the area. Waihi also had branches of both businesses, reflecting the close connection between the two communities.

Over time, these businesses evolved through various mergers and brand changes before eventually becoming part of Professionals. In late 2020, NRG Realty Group purchased the long-standing Professionals Katikati branch, which was a logical addition to the wider Waihi and Waihi Beach business given the strong links between the communities and property markets across the area.

In 2023, the business joined Raine & Horne, combining decades of local knowledge and relationships with the systems, technology, and support of one of Australasia’s most established real estate brands.

Today, our Waihi, Waihi Beach, and Katikati teams continue to live and work in the communities they serve. That local understanding matters.
